Welcome

Greetings. It's the beginning of a new year and I have decided to try and blog through the year as a spiritual and mental practice. I am a mother of three beautiful and crazy children. I am also a full-time student who is pursuing a degree in nursing. For years, I have wanted to be a midwife and now after working as a caregiver with the elderly I have found that I have a huge heart for those who are aging. I may even change my career path to suit this soft place I have in my heart. I am incredibly interested in many many subjects although I do find my interests changing frequently. Nutrition, spirituality, social justice, and school are my main interests at the current moment.

I was born in Dothan, Alabama which is known as "the peanut capital of the world". It is in Southeast Alabama next to both Florida and Georgia.  I lived in Dothan until I was 18 years old and then I moved to my current location in Oak Ridge, TN. I was a teen mother and had my first child at 17.

I hope that my blog will be interesting. Maybe not as interesting as this mural in my hometown of a brawl that broke out in this exact location but hopefully somewhat interesting.
